The huge waterslides were perfect for the preteens and close enough that they could check in frequently with us in the kiddie area.

The sitting area was close enough that parents could see kids in both areas easily. There were 2 small water slides next to a spray area with a zero depth water area which made it perfect to let the 2 year olds walk in the zero depth while the 5 and 6 year old rode the little water slides. The lazy river water was cool enough to be comforting in the extremely hot weather, but not too freezing for my 2 year old twin nephews to be held propped up on an inner-tube. The indoor waterpark at Hotel Rome is pretty dark and dreary and the water is a little too cool to be comfortable to younger kids but Mt. We had kids with us from age 2 to age 8 and 3 preteens and they all had a great time. We've stayed at both Hotel Rome and Mikonos Village and though the Hotel Rome public areas are kind of scummy, the Mt.Olympus waterpark is so huge that it almost makes up for it.
