The same message appears on their Facebook page as well with an image of one of their recent performances Much like how they teased Between II Worlds with a twenty-eight minute and eight-second track on Soundcloud titled “UPDATE”, the latest message from Nero might show promise for incoming new music in some way, shape, or form. Today, the trio’s Twitter handle dropped a cryptic message that ends with the words “coming soon.” Without much context or direction to any other webpage for more information, we can gather that Nero has been up to something since their album dropped last September and are now prepared to reveal their latest efforts. Now, news has surfaced that the group might be releasing more music sooner than we anticipated. The fourth and final single “ Into The Night” was released as a single in early January.Almost a year ago, electronic band Nero delivered a sophomore album that reached far and high as one of the best electronic albums to come out of 2015. Alongside albums such as In Colour by Jamie xx and Adventure by Madeon, the Between II Worlds painted a narrative of love and heartbreak by combining the haunting voice and lyrics from Alana Watson with the layered and precise productions from Joseph Ray and Daniel Stephens. It was a top 30 hit in the UK, peaking at #27. Billboard put it on their “ The 10 Best Dance/Electronic Songs of 2015” list. The album’s third single, the future house “ Two Minds” was released in August, weeks before the album was released. The album was later delayed to September 11th, for unknown reasons. Three weeks later Nero announced their album would be released on August 28th, (coinciding with their concurrent use of “2808”) and the title track was made available alongside pre-orders of the album.
In March 2015 they announced their album was finished, and released the second single “ The Thrill”. The album’s lead single “ Satisfy”, was later released in the May of 2014. They then declared that their new album would be released in the following year. The album was teased in 2013 after an ambient 28:08 minute loop was released to their sondcloud. It’s their first album with vocalist Alana Watson added as an official member (despite their debut featuring her vocals on many of the tracks she wasn’t an official member of the group). Between II Worlds is the second studio album by UK electronic music artists NERO.
